Alcatraz

You have to book tickets to Alcatraz months in advance to ensure you get to go.  They leave from a different pier now, and you must be early.  And parking was $38!  SF is making Tokyo look cheap!

Seagulls and their chicks during nesting season.  And William says you had to beware of 'bird bombs.'  The sidewalks were polka-dotted white from all the birds around there.

The mortuary.  Nicely rustic... and spooky.

William chose the nature route around the island.  It became quite obvious why the park rangers all wore ball caps.  We ducked and weaved and somehow came out clean.
