MSI Chicago 7-24

Tim's and my favorite part of the Museum of Science and Industry is the U-505 boat that was captured in WWII.  They've put it all inside now, and it was more pleasant, I thought.
Of course, we have to marvel at all the engineering of the time!  MSI does such an incredible job on so many types of exhibits.  We didn't get to see all of them.  We did get to go see the 'Body Worlds' exhibit.  Are these mostly healthy Chinese people we saw?  Hmmm....  there was no photography inside.
These show the enigma machine we captured with the U-boat.  With it, we were able to break some of their code.

Then, it was time to 'play' with the parts of the submarine!
Yes, this is a model of the 73.  We were in a part of it that we've ACTUALLY been on, not just 'you are here' in the mock-up in the museum.  Cool, huh?

The fastest steam engine... at the time... etc.

The fastest car...
...and William LOVED the water experience room, and other stuff to do there.  It's all about 'doing.'  You'll see a lot of this on the video.
