So, we went to the bike park. Stefan is scouting out the big mound, but doesn't quite have the courage.
He kept going off the easier, side hill. He kept asking me if he should go off the top. I would encourage him, but not pressure him.
Finally, he did it! So fun to see the boys riding their bikes and LOVING it.
William loves his Japanese bike. That little basket is important! Looks kinda funny on a BMX track, but oh well.
This is a wide-shot of the track. Japanese were in school, so we pretty much had it all to ourselves. A few American dads and their kids showed up, but the boys got to ride and ride and ride. And then some bigger kids came (young sailors) and caught some big air. They were pretty nice about encouraging the boys and letting them take their turns. But then, THEY started trying to get some air!
Okay, so it was small air, but they felt it! They were so stoked!
Here's Stefan dropping in......and William judging his 'air.' They're barely off the ground, but do you remember that first time you actually did it? It was like flying! Defying gravity rocks!
