Yebisu Beer Museum

Being in Tokyo for Beatles night, might as well go find something fun to do that day.
So we went to a beer museum.
See William holding his eye?  We took a taxi.  William is yanking the middle seat belt from where it is tucked in at the top of the seat, and BAM.  It whacked him HARD in the eye.  He cut near the nose, and it was bleeding in such a way, I thought his eye was bleeding.  At least we were in a taxi, and I know the word for hospital in Japanese!  But, it turned out he just whacked it hard, and although painful, he got through it.
Can you see the special can of beer?

Yes, there it is with the red writing that means good commerce.
We could have paid to have a tour of the small artifact museum, but it was in Japanese.
So, we opted to do our own tour of the place.
Most signs were in both Japanese and English.  This is a wood gift box from a long time ago.
Yebisu is the God of commerce, and pronounced like Ebisu, which is the beer's name now.  This is his picture on this old logo.
The Japanese curator giving the tour.
After she's done, they get to go to a special tasting area, where they sample all of the beers.
1943 'war era' beer.  Because of not enough food to eat, their brewing was eventually put on hold.
We ended up just buying the beer by the glass.  WHAT?!?  Yes!  They put ice in one of their beers!
Tim got the beers that were thicker, and no ice was needed.

And I went shopping!  Lots to get here, Tim got some new phone bling!
