Art Appreciation Day at Seika Feb 2010

William is a budding artist. This is the Emperor's Palace, according to William.
I love how in the Japanese kindergartens they take them to the places they'll do art, or bring the subjects to them. This is William's pineapple.

William is pointing at his self-portrait on the wall.
They took a picture of all of them in front of the Nippon Maru in Yokohama.
This is William's rendition of it.
Our friends went with us. You can see the picture behind them.Again, there's fishing. I can't believe how much they work on these packages for the kids.
Wow! He got a Pooh Bear!
This seems just wrong, but it's a picture of him and a friend 'dancing' at Sports Day. Flowers on heads, leaves in hands.
This William's self-portrait bust.
What is a proud parent to say? What IS that Sumo dude signaling? Do they know that sign over here?
I know some of the art that they made they guide the children as to what to do or make. This is a linoleum print that is all William. It is a Shinkansen!
This is the year of the Tiger, and each class makes one. This was the exhibit of them.
Now for all the funny pictures (as if the sumo wasn't good enough):
Friend Michael used this L to make a glass of.... LAGER?
This was on the wall. These girls are carrying onigiri, rice balls with seaweed... I hope.
And for your last chuckle, Tim and I as Hina (dolls).
