PSNS/IMF Tshirts

For a fund-raiser for the PSNS/IMF Spouse Club, we made Tshirts. We sold them to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facilities temporary workers over here working on the George Washington in 2010.
Since it's the second year, it says, 'Second Wave.' It shows an Oni, a Japanese ogre 'surfing' the 73 with a tsunami type wave in the back. I put a hard hat and a welder and a clip board in his hands. Our group chose this color because it was a sea type of a theme.
Tess was a trooper and came and sold with us in the early mornings. William would come along, as well. We froze our buns off!
William loved counting the money. I over-estimated, and we were left with 50, but we made money!
The money goes for things like welcome baskets for the people just arriving. When you've just packed up your entire life and moved to a foreign country, a basket with water, food, and a few items to get you through until the next day when you can get cash and on-your-feet is WONDERFUL. It also supports our command's charity, which is an orphanage in Odawara.
And, it gives us some visibility. I am posing with the mayor of Yokosuka, who I gave one to.
