Maokong Gondola, Taiwan

William wanted to do the Maokong Gondola.  See those tunnels in the background for the freeway?  Cool!
A little pagoda and pond on one of the mountain peaks you go across.

William wanted a glass-bottomed one, and so you could see the countryside from the bird's eye.

Map.

We started from the ground.

With a nice family from Australia.
This is one of the towers where it doesn't stop.

We could see Taipei 101 in the smog.

Here we are!

That cute little pagoda from a different angle.

Waiting for the right kind of gondola.

Coming back down.  It was a nice little ride.  We could have used it to get to the top of the zoo the day I walked so much, but it had been shut down due to winds.  William kept spouting facts from what he'd learned on the Taipei 101 tape.
