Taipei 101 Taiwan

This entire vacation was William-led.  So we missed the national museum and the Shek memorial.  We did end up here, Taipei 101.  Once the tallest building in the world.

This is William at the subway station, but the Taipei 101 mural that would light up with LED fireworks.

The other person's shot from the bottom.

Christmas?  I think not!

Views from the observation deck.

Night beginning.

Loved this cow.

This is beer with ice cream in it.  It was good!  Wm didn't want the ice cream when I was done with the beer.  His loss.  It was a wonderful peach flavor.

We did bring back a bottle of Taiwan beer to Tim.

Night has fallen.

William listened to the entire audio tour while I drank.  So over the next few days he would spout knowledge about Taipei, and say, "See?  You should have paid attention to the audio tour!"

This was after night fell, at the observatory level.  We are looking up at the communication part of the building.

These stairs go ALL the way down!

This is the damper that helps the building not sway so much.

This little 101 guy (notice the eyes and mouth?) was cute.
