They let the kids trade teachers for a a few periods of one particular day (meet the other third grade teachers). In this class, their assignment was to take the items given, and make the tallest, and longest 'structure.'

Jackie kept them on task by having them talk it out what should be done.
At the last second (the teacher was counting down), William linked up string and papers on the floor... which made it long... and helped them win.

Then, we went to get his hair cut.
I love it when they let someone else cut their hair!
