Scout Camp at TAMA HILLS

SCOUT CAMP was about 2 1/2 hours away by car.  Morning flag ceremony.
The chaos of splitting into groups.

Jacob tried hitting by going high.

Warren, with mom in the background, is having fun.

William had his own technique.

Some of the wooded hikes her beautiful.

Archery!

This is how far they had to shoot.

Wm needed some help with pulling the bow back.  See that arrow fly!

My little archer.

This lady told the story of the walking stick

At least Wm is paying attention...

She really did a great job talking how the bird had helped the man with directions (why the feather is on it).

Finally, we have fire!

One-pot dinner of mac n cheese!

The kids and the iPad.  So 21st Century!

How we put our hotdogs up to warm.

How William did his.

The night ended up with a big fire at the ampitheatre, where we had all the skits, and froze.  No pics were allowed (flash issues) and it was too dark, anyway.  Very cool night.  They retired a flag, and when we were leaving in silence, due to respect, Warren stopped and saluted the fire.  Touched my heart.
